Featured Project
Women’s Comfort Station, Oakland Cemetery
This tiny gem had been hit by a tornado, sustaining serious damage. The roof was destroyed, as was much of the brick masonry. Inside, the historic tile and plaster was damaged through years of disuse. Through meticulous research, measurements, drawings and construction administration, the building was restored by Historic Oakland Foundation for use as a small exhibit hall.
The restoration received an award of excellence from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
